Local Republicans gather to watch Palin/Biden debate

Local Republicans plan to get together tonight to watch the much anticipated vice presidential debate between Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and U.S. Sen. Joe Biden.

Palin, the Republican vice presidential nominee, has stoked the fires of Republican interest, and the Bibb County Republican Party is holding a watch party at the Cox Capitol Theatre downtown starting at 8 p.m.

There's no charge, the restaurant will be open and there will be a cash bar, according to a party news release.
