Macon police are investigating an armed robbery that happened shortly before 8:15 p.m. Thursday at the Dollar Tree discount store, 1451 Gray Highway.
Three gunmen were wearing black hooded jackets and black saggy shorts with black bandannas covering their faces, according to a police news release. Two of the men entered the store, displayed handguns and demanded money. The third man stayed outside, according to the release.
The robbers obtained an undisclosed amount of money and ran toward Gray Highway, according to police.
A witness reported seeing the three men get into a small, gray, compact vehicle and drive south on Gray Highway.
