WARNER ROBINS — The Museum of Aviation will receive a Southeastern Regional Emmy Award today for a film shown in its D-Day exhibit, according to a release from the museum.

An award ceremony will be held at 11:30 a.m. in the Eagle Building Art Gallery at the museum.

The movie, titled “Papa Said We Should Never Forget” and shot on location in Normandy, France, tells the story of the Allied invasion on June 6, 1944, through the eyes of two French girls.

The film was a collaboration among Inertia Films, Salute America Inc. and the Museum of Aviation, according to the release.

It originally aired on Georgia Public Broadcasting and is shown daily at the museum.
