Perry High School won first place at the Region AAA One-Act competition with its performance of Susan Zeder’s “Wiley and the Hairy Man,” according to a news release. The production also received the awards for Best Set and Best Costumes.
Students Carson Albritton and Avery Jones were named to the Region All Star Cast, and Carson received the Best Actor Award.
The students will perform the show for the public tonight and Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Perry High Theater. Tickets are $5 and may be purchased at the door.
The Perry High cast and crew will compete at the State AAA One-Act competition at Northside High School at 4 p.m. Nov. 14.
