Students chosen for the scholarships were Allyson B. Rhodes, Warner Robins High School; David Burke, John Renshaw and Talia Mangus, Houston County High School; Yesmine Releford, Perry High; and Alexander Cartwright, The Westfield School.
“It was a tough selection for the committee, which had to choose the top six essays from a number of truly outstanding efforts,” said Rebecca Tydings, chair of the association’s scholarship committee. “The chosen students should be very proud of themselves, and we’re certain that the unrestricted scholarship will be very handy with upcoming college expenses.”
