Georgia coach Mark Richt said safety John Knox is transferring to Georgia Military College for academic reasons.
Knox, a third-year sophomore, had eight tackles in 12 games in 2008.
Georgia announced on Saturday that Knox will begin classes at Georgia Military College this month.
