Central High School students are hosting a “Walk for Walls” event today to raise money to build homes in El Salvador.

The public can pay a registration fee or make a donation to walk the 1.5 mile course at the Georgia Industrial Children’s Home on Mumford Road, starting at 9 a.m. today.

The event organized by the school’s Key Club member Burgess Brown would build a home for families of Villa Fuller in San Luis Talpa, El Salvador. The students hope to raise $5,000.

“Enthusiasm for the event is already building, and I think we’ll have a really great turnout,” Brown said.

For more information or to make a donation, contact Brown at burgessbrown@cox.net.
