Students celebrate late Veterans Day with troops

Skyview Elementary School in Bibb County had a late Veterans Day celebration with troops in Iraq. Friday, students were able to sing patriotic songs and ask troops in Taji, Iraq, questions through a satellite video conference.

Students also placed pictures of veteran family members and friends on the school’s wall of honor.

“As a national school of character we are instilling patriotism in our school family by recognizing those personally important to us who are protecting our freedom,” principal Richard Key said.
