An early morning house fire killed one person and two others are critically burned.

Bibb County coroner Leon Jones said the body of a man was found inside a burning one-story wood-frame house at 2824 Columbus Road which about two blocks west of Pio Nono Avenue near Brentwood Avenue.

Two other men, Christopher Johnson, 31, and his brother, Michael Johnson 28, are in critical condition at the Emergency Center of The Medical Center of Central Georgia, Jones said.

The men will be airlifted to the Joseph M. Still Burn Center in Augusta, he said.

Macon-Bibb County firefighters received the call at about 5:20 a.m.

An investigator will try to determine what sparked the second fatal fire in Bibb County this week.

Two children are to be buried today after a space heater ignited a house fire early Monday on Carlisle Avenue.
