The National Weather Service expects winds to gust to up to 35 miles per hour today in the Macon area with Tropical Storm Ida.

A wind advisory is posted for all of north and central parts of Georgia until 7 a.m. Wednesday.

The advisory cautions that trees could topple in the winds as the heavy rain will make them vulnerable.

The flash flood advisory also calls for up to 8 inches of rain in some parts of Georgia with widespread amounts of 3 to 5 inches possible with the storm through Wednesday morning.
