Warner Robins City Council Post 1 is headed for a runoff, while James L. "Paul" Shealy won a tight Post 3 race.

Mike Daley and Linda Faye Carnes will face off in the Dec. 1 runoff election. Daley received the most votes with 1,706, but failed to gather more than 50 percent of the vote in the five-candidate race. Carnes received 1,324. Doug McDowell (1,087), Art Howard (922) and the Rev. Jeffrey Walker (425) did not advance.

In Post 3, Shealy defeated Dean Cowart, 826-739.

Daron D. Lee ran unopposed for the City Council post 5 seat.
