A man fatally struck by a car Saturday has been identified using his fingerprints.
William David Hanson, 59, died after being struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Emery Highway and Short Street at about 11 p.m., said Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones.
Hanson, who was homeless, was identified by police comparing his fingerprints to state and national databases, Jones said.
The incident remains under investigation by the Macon police.
