A Musella man faces aggravated assault charges for allegedly pointing a gun at passing motorists Thursday afternoon on Gray Highway.

Police arrested 25-year-old Michael Howard after receiving calls that he was riding in a white van and aiming at people as they drove by at about 2:15 p.m., according to a news release from the Macon Police Department.

The driver of the van, 24-year-old Jeremy Westbrook was cited for disorderly conduct after the two were caught walking away from a truck in the BB&T parking lot at the corner of Gray Highway and Shurling Drive.

The people in the truck told police Howard and Westbrook damaged their truck and physically assaulted them. Police recovered a pellet gun from the van, the release stated.

Howard also is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, simple battery and criminal trespass, according to the release.
