A pair of Middle Georgians recently hit six-figure jackpots in the Georgia Lottery.

Terence Howard of Roberta raked in $150,000 and Brenda Curry of Macon won $100,000 in instant-winner, scratch-off games. Both claimed their winnings last week.

Howard, a 22-year-old trucker, won playing Giant Jumbo Bucks at a Kwickie-Flash Foods store in Fort Valley.

“It was intense,” Howard said in a lottery news release. “I told my mother and she was more excited than I was.”

Howard said he’s buying a truck with the winnings — and a car for his mom.

Curry, 50, a child-care counselor, says she’ll pay bills with her prize. She won playing the $100,000 Monopoly game at a BP mart on Hartley Bridge Road.

The mother of four told lottery officials that when she scratched off the winning game card “I almost fainted.”
