The National Weather Service warns Bibb and Crawford counties will see significant weather until about 6:45 a.m.

A statement issued just before 6 a.m. indicates a strong thunderstorm with pea-size hail and 45 mile per hour winds was moving east at 35 miles per hour from near Musella.

People living around Lake Tobesofkee, Knoxville and Roberta should remain alert for changing weather conditions.

Severe thunderstorms are possible today and tonight with the greatest threat west of a line from Carrolton to Warner Robins to Vidalia.

While the main threat this morning is hail, this afternoon the wind shear will increase which means damaging winds and isolated tornadoes are possible along with large hail.
