About 40 Tri-County EMC customers remain without power this morning near Juliette.

The power company reports about 186 customers in Putnam and Jones counties lost electricity due to Sunday winter storm but service had been restored to most of those areas after about an hour blackout.

Crews continue to work on restoring those lines near Juliette.

Tri-County EMC serves portions of Baldwin, Bibb, Jasper, Jones, Morgan, Putnam, Twiggs and Wilkinson counties. To report an outage, call 986-8100.

Georgia Power reports only nine customers remain without electricity - five in Macon and four in Milledgeville, said Carol Boatright, a Georgia Power spokeswoman.
