A cyclist who was injured Tuesday in the Bicycle Ride Across Georgia is recovering from his injuries.

Palmer Dasher, who was among more than 1,000 riders making the trip from Macon to Dublin, lost control of his bicycle after he tried to cross railroad tracks on U.S. 80, according Chief Deputy Billy Boney of the Twiggs County Sheriff's Office.

Dasher was taken to The Medical Center of Central Georgia for lacerations and a possible head injury. Boney said Wednesday that Dasher, who is from Hinesville and in his 70s, has been released from the hospital.

BRAG continues today in Dublin and ends Saturday on St. Simons Island.
