It’s the week of fairs in Middle Georgia, and while most of the hubbub may focus on Perry’s Georgia National Fair, Gray is hosting its own annual Jones County Lions Club Fair next week.

Running Tuesday through Oct. 17, every night is family night, meaning you can expect live entertainment and a $15 armband deal to enjoy as many rides as your heart desires.

Jones County Lions Club membership chairman Terrell Fulford said the fair’s lineup includes music every night, with Southern Pride Cloggers and Tommy Thomas on Tuesday, Dixie Doodle Cloggers and the Still Cruisin’ Band on Wednesday, the 4-H Talent Show and Little George and Last Call Band on Thursday, M.R. Jones and Elvis Presley impersonator Owen Roberts on Oct. 16, and the band Keyed Up on Oct. 17.

The Lions Club Kitchen will be cooking food, and homemade desserts such as chocolate cake and strawberry cake will be for sale. Proceeds from the fair benefit different projects in Jones County, as well as programs such as Leader Dogs for the Blind and the Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation.
